I was born Bradley Scott Hall in Nashville, Tennessee on July 18, 1963. After living in cities such as Nashville, Tennessee, Atlanta, Georgia, and Wilmington, Delaware, my family moved to Marshall County which is where the Hall family has called home since before the year 1900. I was married in 1996 and sadly later became a divorcee and I have no children. I have a sister, Wendy, who is year and half younger than me and a brother, Dan, who is seven years younger. Wendy and her husband, Nick Darnell, have two children, Allie and Erika. Dan and his wife, Heather, have a daughter, Georgia and a son, Jerry Tucker (JT).

I would begin the first grade at Calvert City Elementary school in 1969, but broke my leg early in the school year
missing the rest of the school year. I would start all over again at Gilbertsville Elementary in 1970. 1976 would bring my first year at North Marshall Jr. High School. At that time the school had 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students. North was a huge school in comparison to Gilbertsville Elementary and I remember being lost in the school the first day and the principal having to come over the intercom to find me. I was involved in many activities such as band and the
basketball team. Marshall County High School would be my next destination in fall of 1979 in my educational career. My sophomore year at MCHS I was on the basketball team and the band. It was in the band where I still have some of my best memories as a teenager. In my senior year at MCHS I played a trumpet duet with one of my best friends and played in the stadium that the University of Tennessee plays football. This would not be the last time I would get to play there.
After graduating from MCHS in 1982, I decided to go to college at the University of Kentucky. At this time, computer
science was the hottest new profession out there and I loved Star Wars and the “droids” in that movie so I began my college career as a computer science major. While taking required classes at UK, I found that I really loved the historycourses so I switched my major to history and political science and entered the College of Education at UK. I did my student teaching at Tates Creek Junior High and Brian Station High School. My freshman year at UK I was in the UK marching band. I remember playing in front of over 50,000 fans for home football games and we would also play at Auburn University as well as in front of 100,000 football fans at the University of Tennessee. I also got great seats in Rupp Arena for basketball games while I was in the pep band! In order to help pay for my college education, I got a job as a resident advisor in Blanding II, a dormitory on the south part of campus. It was a job that helped me grow as a person and learn not to be so shy! I enjoyed my years in Lexington going to school at UK, but when I
graduated I wanted to return back home to teach. I got my bachelors degree in education in May, of 1987. I would return home to Marshall County and get a job to teach at North Marshall Middle School in the fall of 1988 teaching history. I have also taught classes such as weather, computer science, and video production. This was the first year that the school was a middle school and not junior or high school. NMMS at this time also had a football team and I was an assistant coach there as well as the head girls basketball coach at Benton Middle. The next year I became the freshman basketball coach at MCHS and would do that for a few years. It was also during my first years at NMMS that I would go back to school at Murray State University to get my Master degree.
I received my Masters degree in Education from MSU in May of 1994. Being still fascinated with computers, years later I would become the school technology leader at NMMS. This led me to leaving NMMS for a few years while I was a computer tech for the Marshall County School District. I would come back to NMMS in the late 1990’s and teach US History and I have been here ever since.
