Flashback – Describe the Incan culture using at least 3 different characteristics.

Exit Slip – Describe 2 things you learned from watching the film about George Washington.

Activities

  • Watch film – History Channel – “The Presidents – George Washington”
  • Quiz over Chapter 8, section 1
  • HW – Reteaching Activity 8-1 – Due on Thursday at beginning of class

Learning Target – (SS 08-5.1.1, 0855.1.2, 08-5.2.3) Today we will learn more about the politics of Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson.

Flashback – Describe 2 way colonists before the American Revolution showed their displeasure with British policies.

Exit Slip – Create a Vin Diagram with Hamilton on one side and Jefferson on the other.

Activities

  • Check Reteaching 8-1 worksheet and take a grade
  • History Alive – Reading Notes – Read Sections 11.4 – 11.5 in class and complete the Reading Notes for those sections
  • HW – Read in US History Book Sections 2-3 of Chapter 8

Flashback – What are the 3 branches of our Government?  What is each branch responsible for doing?

Exit Slip – Describe John Adams’ most unpopular decision as president.  Why do you think he was not re-elected?
